Turkey Vultures over Manhattan!

St Nicholas Day,  December 6th:

As I was leaving Central Park this  morning, a gang of 15 Turkey Vultures  (Cathartes aura) appeared, circling on the thermals over the buildings along 5th Avenue and the park. They kept moving Southwest without a  wing flap towards 59th Street before melting in the in the grey sky over the Midtown Skyline. Unfortunately, photographic conditions were far from ideal:
